3 Tools To Boost Your Social Media Marketing

written by Tonya R. Taylor

I posted a poll question asking “Which social media service do you use the most?” You can check the results here .

According to this poll; as well as many others, people using social networking sites are at least using one of the big three; Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn to help grow their business.

Boomers , did you know you can significantly improve your marketing effort by using multiple marketing channels ?

In fact, there is an old marketing adage that claims your target audience needs to hear and/or see your marketing messages at least 7 times before they are inclined to make a purchase from you. Now imagine the potential new clients you could acquire by using all three social media sites.

But I know what you are thinking, “I don’t have that much time”, right?

How can you effortlessly promote your marketing message across services Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and even YouTube?

By using a winning combination of Animoto, Mailchimp and Zoomerang to revolution your social networking marketing strategy, that’s how. These tools will increase your productivity and save time by streamlining your marketing message across services, with only a click of a button.

Use Animoto to say it with video by automatically generating professionally produced MTV-style music videos from your photos. Use their Facebook application tool to easily add the video to your profile, click the export to YouTube button or one button publishing to twitter. You can even send the link via email or add it to your LinkedIn profile.

Even if you already have an email marketing tool, I’ll bet you don’t have functionality MailChimp . Creating stunning email marketing campaigns and autoresponders is just the beginning. One of the coolest Facebook tips with this tool is you can send your fans a campaign without having them opt-in to your list! Simply use the Mailchimp campaign archive feature. Mailchimp is already implemented Twitter a specific tracking URL. Coming in mid July (according to the company) a way to track tweets and re-tweets about campaigns.

Zoomerang creates all types of online surveys with advanced reporting, PowerPoint charts and offers the easiest way to collect fast business feedback. Their Facebook app, Zoomerang Polls is a fast, easy way to create a quick poll to share with on your fans or post it to your fan page wall.

Internet Online Marketing Training So You Can Succeed Without Hype

written by Judith Sherven, PhD and Jim Sniechowski, PhD

Before you worry about where we’re going with what may seem to be a kind of riddle, let’s take a look at one of the old “rules” of Internet online marketing — that you have to emphasize hype if you’re going to make a sale. There’s too much information online, the experts will tell you again and again, to succeed without standing out. And the best way to stand out, apparently, is to shout from the rooftops, make outrageous claims, and bamboozle your readers into purchasing what they might not even want.

If you’ve been in business online for a while, or have even considered starting your own Internet online marketing company to marketing and sell your own products and services or someone else’s, you’ve undoubtedly heard some version of this advice before. The only problem is, it’s only half right: hype can sell, once in a while, but it doesn’t make you stand out – it reduces you to one more shouting voice in a crowd.

Anyone who has ever been to Las Vegas can probably relate to that sentiment. There, in an extraordinarily dense concentration of money and showmanship, you can find dozens and dozens of companies screaming for your attention… both literally and figuratively. The end result, however, isn’t dozens of irresistible offers; it’s a sea of interesting spectacles.

The internet is a very similar landscape. Your shoppers are never farther than a mouse click away from some other page that’s flashing, blinking, and otherwise clamoring for them to just look at the deal of the century. That might have worked ten years ago, but today it just makes them seem another dishonest vendor willing to say anything to make a fast buck.

What customers are dying for isn’t more hype. It’s more sincere and caring help. That’s probably why some of our soft selling techniques, some of which run counter to the conventional wisdom , are so successful. The more the competition screams, the more the buying public is left desperately searching for products and solutions that can honestly help them to improve their day to day lives.

Hype can be exciting, and it’s sometimes even interesting. But in this day and age, it’s less and less effective in Internet online marketing. Remember that the next time you read that your offer needs to be “over the top” for you to make a sale online. You don’t have to resort to screaming to be noticed, you just have to be willing to honestly help the people who do business with...
