You may be pleasantly surprised to discover that you both enjoy similar types of music … not necessarily the same groups but, hey, it’s a starting point, right? I’m always amazed at the number of young people who really love Oldies music . And with the renewed interest in Big Bands and Swing dancing, this is an entirely new option for sharing some music . Be sure to stay open minded when bringing up the subject of music with your grandkids … they might just introduce you to some new tunes that come to be favorites of your own. And while we’re on the subject … don’t forget to bring out the instruments, if you play, or open up the piano and start playing a song. One more fun way to connect with the grandkids !
